Leah Patterson and Amanda Cardona at the Austin, TX Salsa Fest

I was just recently invited to Austin to teach and perform at the Capitol City Salsa Festival. It was such a great time and the biggest treat is that I got to perform with another amazing female dancer (and good friend of mine) Amanda Cardona.

Our styles are so similar and with the little time we had, we pulled something really nice together! Check it out below!

Contests and Performances!

I've got two new videos to post! Things in Little Rock have been fabulous these past few months! I've had tons of fun salsa things to do:).

1st. The Rev Room aka Club Revolucion from a post two years ago opened back up! The salsa scene has totally jumped off since then. I've met some great new salsa folks here, newbies and old schoolers. There's even two couples teaching here! Can you BELIEVE that? In Little Rock?? :P. And NOT ballroom style. Can you believe THAT? Lol!

2nd. Memphis has become my second favorite salsa hangout:). For all of July, I went every weekend and then in August went back to compete in a bachata contest with my friend, Jorge. That was SWEET! A lot of fun:). Check out the video:).



3rd. I'd been working with a group of ladies here on a choreography to show at the Memphis Salsa Convention two weekends ago or so. Well we pulled it off beautifully and the weekend itself was a true blast! Reminded me of my traveling days of old;P. Ok it hasn't been that long ago, but indeed this convention felt like that same kinda good my favorite congresses feel like...priceless baby!

Here's the video of our show. I'm so proud of what we did! The ladies here in Little Rock are HUNGRY! I LOVE it! We've even got some HUNGRY guys! Now THAT's exciting:P.

Teaching at J.A. Fair

This April I was blessed with fun task of teaching about 30 high school students at J.A. Fair High in Little Rock how to dance salsa. We had such a fun time that I went back this summer and taught another class! Here are the pictures from April and as soon as I get this summer's pictures, I'll post those too:).

The Scene Salsa Magazine Release Party

I went to this lovely event hosted by my good friend Larry (DJ Renzo) back in May. It was a ton of fun and a few of us out of town guests were interviewed! Check it out below!
